Drown Me In Your Love

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

So awhile back I was showering at my guy of the time’s house. He thought he’d be “romantic” and help this dirty girl get clean. As I’m washing my hair, he decides to hop in. Which is fine.

I close my eyes, tilt my head back to rinse the shampoo. There’s nothing more wonderful than the feeling of hot water running through your hair as all of the impurities are washed away.

Then, water unexpectedly rushes over my face. Not able to see, I take a step away from the shower head so that i can catch my breath. Water is still pouring down my face. Eyes squinched closed due to shampoo now burning them, I try to move away from the water once more and fail again.

So I put my hands over my face and yell, “What in the hell is going on?!?”

The waterfall on my face ceases.

And I open my eyes to the innocent face of my guy standing there with a hand-held shower head. How sweet. He was trying to help me wash my hair.

And almost drowned me in his love while doing it.

Cookie Monster

Valentine’s Day my freshman year of college. I was dating a guy friend from back at home. He attended LSU as well. The patio between East and West Laville…memories. Anyways, Harold and I had just started “dating” when the day of love rolled around so I didn’t expect him to do anything big. Therefore I didn’t do much for him either.

My roommate and I decided we should buy some cookies and tell our boyfriends we baked them. So we did. We even bought cute little heart-decorated saran wrap to top it off. Harold passed those cookies out to all his friends, so happy that I made him cookies…but not really.

I felt like a total ass though, when he gave me a ring. Not like THE ring…just a ring. I lied to him about baking cookies and he gave me a freakin’ ring.

But that’s ok…i felt guilty for a bit, even after we split. But then I found out, that he had been cheating. So we were even-he lied about other girls; I lied about not really baking him cookies. Ha. In Harold’s FACE!

I still have that ring somewhere in a box put away. It’s tarnished, just like the “love” it encompassed.
